Two hundred million pound term loan facility with the European Investment Bank

United Utilities Water PLC ("UUW") (A3 stable / A- stable) has today signed a new £200m term loan facility with the European Investment Bank ("EIB"), the financing arm of the European Union.

This is the first tranche of a £400m total funding package approved by the EIB to support delivery of the remainder of UUW's AMP4 capital investment programme.  The facility is available for drawing immediately and is expected to be drawdown ahead of the remaining £200m being signed.
