Board change Charlie Cornish to leave United Utilities

16 June 2010

Following the signing of various agreements to sell the majority of United Utilities' non-regulated interests, Charlie Cornish, Managing Director Utility Solutions, will be leaving the group later in the year, after over six years on the Board.  Charlie will be taking up a new position with Manchester Airport as its Chief Executive Officer.

Philip Green, Chief Executive, said:

"Charlie has been an important part of our work to improve operational performance and more recently has been integral in successfully agreeing the disposals of a number of our non-regulated businesses.  I would like to thank Charlie for his significant contribution and wish him every success in his new role."
