Metered customers (non-household)

If you have a water meter installed in your premises your charges will be calculated as follows:

For water

  • A charge for the amount of water you have used (in cubic metres, 1 cubic metre = 1000 litres of water)
  • A standing charge, normally related to the size of the meter, which covers the cost of reading and maintaining your meter, sending bills and dealing with enquiries

For wastewater

  • A charge for collecting and disposing of your wastewater based on the amount of water you have used (in cubic metres)
  • A charge for dealing with surface water and highway drainage

We charge for wastewater services (sewerage services) on the basis that most of the water we supply to your premises is returned to the sewer.
