Apply for a water meter

Please ensure you have read the questions about meters so that you understand the conditions of having a water meter fitted. Please be aware that certain terms and conditions apply when having a water meter fitted. Please note, only the person named on the water bill can apply for a water meter. Following receipt of your application, it can take up to 3 months before the meter is fitted.

Our preferred location for meter installations is inside your property. We are using new technology which will allow us to take a meter reading without having to enter your premises.

We will need to gain access to your incoming water supply pipe to allow us to install the meter. This may require the removal of any obstruction to the pipework to ensure a successful installation.

If we can install the meter inside your property, but you would prefer the meter to be located in the footpath, then, if we are able to do this, you will need to pay the difference in cost. For further details see our terms and conditions.
