Pay Your Bill

Site area charging (for customers of other water companies)

If you receive a water bill from Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water, Northumbrian Water or Dee Valley Water, but you receive your wastewater services from United Utilities, you are currently a year behind our water customers in the North West.

Therefore for 2010-2011 your charge for surface water and highway drainage services is calculated as follows:

. Two-thirds of your charge is based upon your site area measurement
. One-third is based on your old calculation method (which will either be your rateable value or standing charge based upon meter size).

The rest of the information shown in our site area section will still be of interest to you (even though you receive your water bill from a different company) and we would encourage you to read all sections to understand how your wastewater charges are calculated and how you may be able to reduce your bill. However, please be aware that you are a year behind our water customers in the North West so part of your surface water and highway drainage is still calculated using your rateable value. Your surface water and highway drainage charges for 2010-2011 are shown here.

From April 2011, your charge for surface water and highway drainage will be based fully on your site area calculation.

Please note: we have additional information that will be of interest to you if you are a place of worship, scout or guide group, community amateur sports club or village hall or community centre.
