At United Utilities we are committed to providing a first-class water and wastewater services to our seven million customers in the North West.

Between 2010 - 2015, we are investing £3.6 billion to meet ever-increasing water quality standards, deliver environmental improvements and make our network more reliable.

Despite the scale of the investment programme, we are reducing average annual household bills by some three per cent over this period. This will take the cost of the average household bill in 2015 to a little under £1 per day.

In addition, an independent economic impact study has stated that the investment will support around 15,000 jobs through a network of suppliers and contractors with £9 billion injected into the region's economy.
